Num mundo perfeito, o grande objetivo dos The Game Awards seria mesmo a celebração do melhor que é feito na indústria dos videojogos. E, em parte, é precisamente isso. Contudo, a sua verdadeira natureza é de entregar um catálogo de novidades para os jogadores ficarem em pulgas para os jogos do futuro.
A edição de 2023 não foi exceção. E apesar do calor e carinho sentido no evento, à medida que alguns prémios foram entregues quase sem tempo para os vencedores discursarem, tivemos mais de meia centena de novidades em formas de trailers, teasers e puras publicidades, com revelações surpresa, jogos completamente novos, lançamentos inesperados e, até, alguma atualização.
